Whether it’s the energy of a live gig, a shared laugh at an event or a business owner doing what they love, Nick, the photographer behind Shadow of Depths, is drawn to moments that tell a story.
His photography began on the streets, capturing everyday life through high contrast black and white imagery. That early love of observation continues to shape his work, with a natural, documentary approach that captures people and places as they are. His portfolio now embraces warm colour alongside striking monochrome, with genuine emotion at the heart of both.
Based in Whyalla, Nick is keen to work with local event organisers, venues and musicians to capture the atmosphere of their events.
He particularly loves shooting high energy live music: the movement, the lighting, the connection between performers and the crowd. His candid style also lends itself to gatherings and celebrations, preserving the small interactions and spontaneous moments that give an occasion its character.

Nick currently handles photography for TWC collaborators, helping introduce the faces behind local businesses and capturing the spaces, details and everyday work that make each one unique.
He brings curiosity and a commitment to learning to every shoot. As Shadow of Depths grows, Nick is continuing to develop his skills and explore new styles, from capturing the personality of a much loved pet to photographing the connection and beautiful chaos of family life. He welcomes conversations about new ideas and opportunities to create something together.
Outside of photography, Nick works full time in the community and is a dad to two young sons. He loves baseball and retro gaming and tech, fitting his growing photography practice around work and family life.
